Meet Judy

A real person who knows your community.

Judy Patterson has spent years helping seniors navigate one of the most confusing parts of retirement — Medicare. She founded InsurePlus with a simple mission: make Medicare understandable, find the plan that actually fits your needs, and be there whenever you have questions.

As an independent agent, Judy works with multiple top carriers — not just one company — so she can compare options and recommend what's truly best for you. Her services come at no cost to you (she's compensated by the insurance carrier).

Whether you're turning 65, retiring late, or reviewing your current coverage, Judy will sit down with you, explain everything in plain English, and help you choose with confidence.

What I Help With

Coverage for every part of Medicare

From all-in-one plans to filling the gaps, here's how I can help you put the right pieces together.

Medicare Advantage

All-in-one plans (Part C) that combine hospital, medical, and often prescription coverage — sometimes with dental, vision, and more.

Medicare Supplement

Medigap plans that fill the gaps Original Medicare doesn't cover — deductibles, copays, and coinsurance — for predictable costs.

Part D · Drug Plans

Standalone prescription drug coverage to help lower your medication costs. We compare plans to find one that covers what you take.

Dental & Vision

Affordable supplemental plans for cleanings, exams, glasses, and more — the everyday things Original Medicare doesn't cover.

What's the difference between Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement?
Medicare Advantage (Part C) replaces Original Medicare with a plan from a private insurer — often including drug, dental, and vision coverage — but you use a network of providers. Medicare Supplement (Medigap) works alongside Original Medicare and lets you see any doctor that accepts Medicare, paying some or all of the out-of-pocket costs. Which is better depends on your health, budget, and preferences. I can walk you through both.
When can I enroll in Medicare?
Your Initial Enrollment Period starts 3 months before the month you turn 65 and ends 3 months after. If you miss it, there may be late penalties. There's also the Annual Enrollment Period (Oct 15 – Dec 7) to change plans, and the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (Jan 1 – Mar 31). If you have a qualifying life event — like losing employer coverage — you may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.
How much does Medicare cost?
Most people get Part A (hospital) premium-free if they've worked at least 10 years. Part B (medical) has a standard monthly premium ($185 in 2025). Costs vary based on income, the plan you choose, and whether you add supplemental coverage. The good news: working with me costs you nothing, and I can help you find a plan that fits your budget.
Do I really need dental or vision coverage?
Original Medicare does not cover routine dental (cleanings, fillings, dentures) or vision (eye exams, glasses, contacts). Some Medicare Advantage plans include them, or you can buy a standalone plan. Even a basic dental plan can save you hundreds on annual cleanings and exams.
Does it cost anything to work with Judy?
No. Independent agents like me are paid by the insurance carrier, not by you. You pay the same premium whether you buy directly from the carrier or go through an agent. The difference is you get expert guidance, plan comparison, and year-round support — at no extra cost.
